Commly at Pitch MeetUp 2026. AI, sales and go-to-market
Everyone wants their own AI sales agent. Fewer are excited about becoming someone else’s lead. That observation captures the challenge we explored at Pitch MeetUp 2026 in Wrocław. Technology helps businesses reach more prospects, but knowing who to contact, what to say and when to say it still matters. On 14 October, we joined founders, investors and the wider startup community at the National Forum of Music to discuss what effective customer acquisition looks like today.
Pitch MeetUp brings startups, investors and academia together
The conference is organised by our longtime friends at inQUBE, the University Business Incubator, together with Wrocław University of Economics and Business. Its fourth edition covered winning first customers, building global businesses, attracting talent and raising startup funding. Early-stage companies also presented to investors in the Pitch MeetUp Competition. Hosting the conference was our good friend Artur Ciachowski.

AI in B2B sales. More messages or more customers?
Damian Wielechowski, co-founder of Commly, moderated the panel “AI turned us into spammers. How do we win customers today?” Joining him were Mateusz Sekta from Vanderbuild, Beata Czarnacka from ZYNT and Bartek Rutkowski from Data Rise Lab. The conversation explored go-to-market strategy, buying signals and the data behind customer acquisition.
We started with a question about readiness to scale. What should a business get right before adding more sales tools and AI agents? A clear target audience, a compelling value proposition and an understanding of why customers buy help teams decide what is worth automating. Buying a new system can feel like progress. Turning it into business results takes a clear plan for how to use it.
Go-to-market starts with understanding the customer
Timing was another key topic. A funding round, international expansion or a hiring push may point to a new business need. None automatically means a company is waiting for your offer. We discussed how to distinguish a meaningful buying signal from a convenient excuse to send another email, and how to demonstrate an understanding of the recipient’s business.
We also looked at information scattered across CRM systems, marketing tools and inboxes. How can teams use it to make better sales decisions and discover new customer segments? Previous sales provide useful evidence, but a go-to-market strategy also needs to explore opportunities beyond the customers a business already knows.
PR and communication built around startup growth
These questions are closely connected to our everyday work. Commly is a PR and communications agency for startups, technology companies and venture capital funds. With a background in startups and VC, we approach communication through the product, market and business goals behind it. We support go-to-market strategies, market entry, fundraising communications and thought leadership for founders and investors.
That means helping businesses define who they need to reach, what they should communicate and what evidence supports their claims. Those decisions shape the stories, channels and PR and media relations activities we recommend. Events such as Pitch MeetUp give us space to exchange experience with people tackling these questions at different stages of growth.
Thanks to the inQUBE team for another gathering in Wrocław, to Artur for hosting, and to our panellists for the conversation. See you at the next one!
